Life does not always give you what you expect, but we have come to trust that we are always where we are meant to be and with faith, hope, and love we can conquer anything. Most importantly, it really is all about the journey...

Vacation Time!

We have snuck away from the cold and snow of Syracuse! We made the trip down to Florida to spend some time with family and celebrate Vince's dad's 70th coming up on New Years Day. The boys were excited that we made it down to the beach after our boardwalk shopping spree this afternoon. Fun times all around! :-)

Kicking Off Christmas Traditions

We made our way out to the tree farm and found our perfect tree. As you can see behind us, there was a very tall top to our tree initially, but we trimmed it down and it is the perfect fit now. And what we took off is the size of a perfect little Charlie Brown tree. We took that home with us as well. :-) Here's to a memory making Christmas season!

Photo Shoot!

The boys and I happened across a great place to take photos! We set out to take some down by the canal, but then found this great area right across the street. Great backdrops and no one around to get in our way. The boys were very patient subjects and we got some great shots! It is going to be a difficult decision for Christmas cards!

Happy 5th Birthday, Bennett!

I do not know where the time has gone, but here we are.....

(Extra large birthday cake was due to a rained out final tee ball game that we had hoped would end with a birthday celebration.... Best laid plans!)

Poop-tastic Party

When trying to decide on a party theme for his 5th birthday, Bennett struggled to narrow it down to just one. Eventually I gave up making an issue of it and accepted that we would make it a celebration of all of Bennett's favorite things. And so we sat down to compile a list.

Legos
Ninjago Legos
Lloyd the green ninja
Nexo Knights Legos
Aaron the green knight
   (Are you noticing a theme?)
Miles From Tomorrowland
Curious George
Oceans
Space
Baseball
Donuts

It was getting a little out of hand and so I joked that we should add 'poop' to the list. It was a joke. A joke that received rave reviews and became our sole theme. I should have known better.

So, we went with it and threw an epic poop themed 5th birthday party for our fun-loving, sweet, awesome little guy. The entire day I couldn't shake the thought that we were either the most amazing parents in the world or the absolute worst. The jury is still out on that one.

Ice cream cone cupcakes - a Bennett favorite - poop style

Sprinkles, the color green, and poop - a favorite trifecta

 Vince's epic birthday banner creation

Not to take attention away from the amazing poop glasses, but check out his birthday party menu - chocolate chip pancakes, stinky cheese bagels, and crunchy cheetos....

Wyatt the Amazing Magician wowed the crowd in his first ever party demonstration

Pin the Poop on the Potty
.....of course

TP wrapping contest - crazy fun :-)

Tee Ball Time!

It has been a very rainy, unpredictable spring and summer. Many of our tee ball games were rained out but we made the most of the games we did have and had a great time with new and old friends on the tee ball field. ⚾💙

Charlie's First Communion

Charlie was a ball of nerves. Our party venue needed to be changed very last minute. The weather was not very May-like. But it was a beautiful, blessed day with our friends and family.

Charlie's Photo Shoot

To avoid any undue stress when Charlie makes his First Communion we decided to do our own private photo shoot a couple weeks beforehand.

Best. Decision. Ever.

We had so much fun with no rushing or multiple cameras to look at or other people in the way. It was a beautiful sunny day, so we were able to go down to the grotto and take some pictures there as well. And we got some great shots. I am so glad we made time to do this.
