Life does not always give you what you expect, but we have come to trust that we are always where we are meant to be and with faith, hope, and love we can conquer anything. Most importantly, it really is all about the journey...

December Daily: Day 27

Our holiday season this year included celebrating the marriage of two of our best friends. It was so much fun and the perfect expression of the love these two people share.

 Two of my handsome guys

Charlie and Noah partied hard :-)

I'm not even sure what this was all about, but I had to share it...

 He's just awesome <3

December Daily: Day 25

Christmas morning :-)

Charlie has willing used his own money to go toward gifts
for people so Santa wrote him a letter telling him how proud
he was and gave him some cash to replenish his savings.

A kid-friendly reminder of the reason for this special day

handsome boy with his cheese smile :-)

Charlie was such a good big brother and gave plenty
of attention to Ben and not just his own presents.

December Daily: Day 20

It's like a Christmas Cookie Best in Show! :-) I am so happy that we successfully made cookies this year to give out to people. The past few years it's been on of those things on the list that never quite happens. It feels good to accomplish making them since I do enjoy baking!

December Daily: Day 19

Decorating the Christmas cutouts was always a fun time when I was a kid growing up. We made it a family affair to decorate cutouts together this year and the results were beautiful in their own way.

December Daily: Day 18

Charlie wanted to help with the Christmas treat effort by making his own creation. It involved clearing out the pantry of all the random leftover goodies and making them into one epic treat. And it was delicious... :-)

December Daily: Day 17

Charlie's preschool holds a special Christmas event called "Angel Day" where parents get to go and spend a special day at school with their "angel". It seems like we may have bent the rules by both Vince and I attending, but it was such a great morning.

Charlie requested that I make angel cookies as our contribution to the party at the end of the morning.

December Daily: Day 14

Charlie missed a field trip to the Gingerbread Museum last week when he was sick, so we went and bought a gingerbread house kit to make up for it. Mom and Dad handled frosting duty while Charlie was in charge of the candy. It is quite the creation. :-)

December Daily: Day 11

This is what our life has looked like these past few days. Never seems to fail: the the Jingle Germs always seem to find a way into our house this time of year. Honestly, this makes it look much worse than what it is now. He is on the mend and now the rest of us just need to stay healthy!
